AMD Radeon Leaves Blower Fan Design, You Should Know
Blower fans are commonly used on reference graphics cards. Now, AMD Radeon abandoned the blower fan design and switched to the multi-fan axial that is commonly used for custom graphics cards from partner brands Add in Board. Radon's Corporate Vice President and Manager Scott Herkelman said that the next Radeon RX product would leave the blower fan design and switch to multi-fan axial.
Previously, Nvidia has also switched to multi-fan axial design for Founder GeForce RTX 20 graphic cards. AMD has also applied this design to the Radeon VII series. Where AMD uses 3 fans. However, for the RX 5700 reference series, AMD returned to the blower fan design. On one of AMD's slides at the Financial Analyst Day 2020 event, there was a graphic card with 2 axial fans. Chances are, this graphics card is the Radeon RX 5600XT which will be released in the near future.
